• What is Gas Oil / Red Diesel? Gas Oil is one of a family of heavy oils made from the fractional distillation of petroleum. For heating applications, it’s known as Gas Oil, for automotive and plant applications it is usually called Diesel Fuel. Diesel can be supplied either as “white” or “red” diesel, depending on your requirements and applications. Red diesel is taxed much less than white diesel and cannot be used in on-road vehicles but there is a wide range of ancillary equipment and plant machinery. The red dye is added to allow inspectors to identify that it is being used correctly.
  • What is the minimum order quantity?To achieve the optimum buying price, Stockists would need to purchase a pallet of 48 boxes. However for smaller outlets we can offer a half pallet of 24 boxes or a quarter pallet of 12 boxes.

  • Can I use Gas Oil in vehicles on the road?Gas Oil is for off-road vehicles only and should not be used on the road. For cars, Lorries and motor vehicle that are taxed and use public roads will need to use “white” diesel which you can purchase at your local Petrol station. Please click here for more information
  • Do I need to be HMRC RDCO registered to buy or sell the FUELBOX?If you only supply and receive oil in pre-packed containers not exceeding 20 litres, you are excluded from the scheme.   • What is the tax rate for red diesel compared with white diesel?Red diesel is taxed at 11.14p/litre where as white diesel is charged at 57.95p/litre.
  • Is the packaging environmentally friendly?Yes! The FUELBOX reduces packaging waste in landfills by 86 percent and reduces plastic consumption by up to 90 percent, compared to 20-liter rigid packaging. The used pack splits into two parts firstly remove the plastic bag element and dispose of in accordance with current waste regulations, the corrugated box can then be disposed of in dry paper/cardboard recycling.
  • What are the transport regulations for FuelBox?The haulage of Red Diesel falls within the scope of ADR requirements and the transportation of the FuelBox solely for resale to customers does require ADR compliance, however there are certain exemptions. For example anyone who transports FuelBoxes as an ancillary activity to their main trade or business can be exempted from ADR as long as the quantities carried are less than 1,000 litres.   • What vehicle / equipment can I use FuelBox for?FuelBox can be used in many applications, including: Mobile cranes and diggers, dump trucks, tractors, boats, cement mixers, forklift trucks, lawn mowers, generators and much more.
  • What is Gas Oil 10-Plus?Gas Oil 10 Plus is a specially formulated additive system included inside every FuelBox, achieving an outstanding performance over conventional Red Diesel / Gas Oil. With improved Cetane ratings boosting power and reducing deposit and varnish build-up. This product also improves combustion efficiency and fuel consumption, reducing visible emissions. It will also protect against premature wear in fuel pumps and injectors and enhances the performance of older engines. FuelBox also contains emulsifiers to combat water build up preventing emulsions forming and filter blockages.
